[You can’t tell a toad]

From: x

You can’t tell a toad

what it already knows.

The recreant crow

sleeps as well

as the devout wren.

Sour milk tastes

of wasted time.

All things are one

though one thing is two

as the full moon includes

the half-moon’s absence.

Analogy is the lasso

that captures truth

and the noose that strangles it.

Stars precede

the constellations.

The train of wonder

rides the rails of doubt.
